Turn Your Blog Into A Book

I know many of you feel that blogging has been a great way to journal your life and the life of your family. The problem is you can't sit down with your kids and turn through your blog, you can't pass your blog down to your kids. It's all in that mysterious internet atmosphere. Past entries are lost in the deep archives of your blog....rarely to be looked at again. Well I have a great way to turn your blog into a tangible book! It's easy to do. I threw together an example today while my kids were napping. You can view a few pages by clicking on the link below. You can decide what kind of background you would want (I made mine to match my blog) and it's just a matter of cut and paste. You could even add to what you posted (more pictures or comments). When you're done (maybe after a year or so of entries) you can have the entire thing published, in a hard back bound book! Father's Day Gift

Father's Day is around the corner! I have the perfect gift! A small brag book, for daddy's desk, briefcase or backpack! The book is a 5x5, bound, hardback and is only $20 plus shipping and handling (it must be purchased through me to get that price! regularly $34). It's very simple to make! Go to http://www.readmemystory.com/ and create your own FREE account. If you like the template I created (below), just let me know and I can transfer one right into your account, for FREE! All you would have to do is upload the pictures you want to include and then pop them onto the page. You can change or add anything to the template (customize it with your kids names and quotes from them about their dad and a sweet letter of appreciation from you!). You need to have it done by May 30th to guarentee it gets to your door by Father's day. Now your hubby can show off his beautiful family!


Now if you love the idea, but think you aren't computer savy enough (though it's REALLY simple and I could totally walk you through it) or don't have the time, I'd be happy to do it for you. For $40 I will provide the book, pay for the shipping and handling, and put the entire book together. All you would need to do is email me the pictures you want in it (about 20 pics), the names of your kids and a little note of appreciation for your hubby.

Yearbook

My yearbooks are the biggest reason I storybook. Each year I document the comings and goings of my family, from what's going on with my husbands schooling to how potty training is going on. I make sure to journal at the end of each month (it only takes me a few minutes) and then when I have an hour I go back and add the pictures and create a layout. Then at the end of the year I have it published through Heritage Makers (http://www.readmemystory.com/). It shows up at my door a few days later, ready to be read again and again. The yearbooks are my kids favorite book to read (they love seeing all the pictures of themselves and talking about all the fun things we did). I feel great because I'm keeping up with both my family history and my journaling! For all you bloggers, its like taking your blog and having it printed. I'm so excited to give my kids their own set of these family yearbooks when they're older.
